Poem:

the world is crying salty rain
the sky is a deep empty gray
drowning the earth in dark despair
no life can swim through the sorrow

the air is full of tears and fog
for a moment a note distorts
the girls scraped fingertips dance
to a guilty melody

a ray of hope is pale but there
a young girl with an old soul
she’s floating in a void of song
her world too is broken

the world grows darker
more hollow and sad
angry keys crooked chords erupt
from her numb and throbbing heart

she’s not happy like they all thought
every scale in the song burning
with sorrys and desperate cries
she can’t be perfect anymore

the keys start to vibrate and crack
the strings begin to shake and snap
her frustration breaks the bottle
all silence is swarmed with her pain

the girl weeps in agony
each sob crashing against the wood
ever more fiercely than the last
until it all crumbles away

the world is crying salty rain
the sky is a deep empty gray
drowning the earth in dark despair
she couldn’t swim through the sorrow.
