Self-Portrait as Dorothy Gale

Magic cannot be contained

Within glasses of rosé

Or sepia-colored tubes

Powering the television.

If the eyes get too close,

They could go blind,

Or the pupils may dilate,

And suck in the photons.

I shall get my fortune told

On the second Saturday,

Every month. And I will

Never wash my hair again.
